Curriculum Vitae

Diana Spiropoulos is a Trans Femme Non-Binary multi-hyphenate artist with specializations in directing and violence design. They have always had a fascination with history and combat since a young age. Though it wasn’t until high school that they got introduced to the world of Theatre. Upon entering college Diana decided to audition for Romeo and Juliet just for fun, but after meeting a Fight Director named Jake Guinn, she got hooked. Since then Diana has never looked back. They graduated with a BFA in Theatre from Southern Arkansas University in 2018 with an emphasis on Lighting Design and Technical Direction. Diana would later spend a year at Louisiana Tech University’s Graduate School continuing to learn about Stage Combat and Fight Direction. In the Fall of 2019, Diana would find employment as a high school tech theatre teacher in Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas, she got to work with many different theatre artists and teachers in the city, but was ultimately given the advice, “If you’re going to go back to Grad school, do something you do not know to much about.” With this advice Diana settled on Directing, and was accepted to the University of South Dakota and graduated with an MFA in Directing during the Summer of 2025.

Diana Spiropoulos is an Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, and through this organization, Diana has been able to continually pursue Stage Combat and Fight Direction. It is also due to the support from people within the SAFD that Diana has started their own business: Ronin Theatricals, LLC.
